Difference between reading confirmation and heating accounts
Why is the calculation of units on the annual reading confirmation and the heating accounts different?
Reply: There are several possible explanations of the difference. The most common reasons are:
- That a radiator or meter has been replaced during the year.
- That we have discovered that a meter is defective. In such cases, the annual consumption of the relevant radiator will be calculated on the basis of the radiator’s location, the consumption in previous years and degree days in the current year.
- That you have moved in during the accounting year. In such cases, the heating accounts are adjusted to take account of the removal reading.
