Removal of neighbours

If someone who uses a lot of heating moves out, may the adjoining residents get a larger heating bill?

Reply: If a flat is empty and the heating is fully or partially switched off, the adjoining residents are likely to get a slightly larger heating bill. The heating supplied to a flat through the radiators also heats up walls, ceiling and floor and therefore the adjoining rooms. If the consumption pattern changes, for instance due to removal, this will therefore affect the adjoining flats.
